Progress is well underway at our new High Park Campus! We are so excited to share with you all that we have been working on.
In our last post, we highlighted our first major project – exposing and restoring the building’s original brick facade. We have been hard at work the past couple of weeks and have finished stripping the paint. We could not be happier with the results!
Our landscaping plans have now been finalized and we eager to hit the ground running to bring our vision to life! Work on our front landscaping will begin this week. The design will enhance curb appeal, complement the classic look of the original brick and create an open, flowing entrance to the campus. It will be transformed into a warm and welcoming space for our students and their families.
All of the building’s windows will also be replaced with stylish industrial windows. In every room, the windows will be functional and able to be opened to increase fresh air flow throughout the entire campus.
You may have seen the front of the building from the street, but it’s not the only place getting spruced up and receiving lots of TLC. The back of the building is currently being painted a neutral charcoal grey with black accents. We are also in the midst of installing a brand new fence!
We have big plans for our backyard space – it is incredibly spacious with a lot of potential! The landscaping design will provide our students with their own mini-park, with artificial turf and natural plantings. This transformation will create a flexible space which will allow for a broad range of activities and accommodate a variety of different play styles. There will be also be a separate, enclosed play area for our youngest students. The entire yard will become an inspiring space where our students will be able to learn and play. And of course, with urban gardening as an integral part of The Clover School’s signature curriculum, our backyard oasis will also include multiple planters to allow our students to plant, care for and harvest a variety of vegetables, fruits and herbs.
We have been busy bees hard at work here at our High Park Campus as to ready ourselves to open our doors in early Winter 2021.
Registration is now open for January and September start dates. We will be hosting a Virtual Open House on November 12th at 7:00 pm.
