“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

Albert Einstein

It seems like overnight our lives have totally changed. The world feels like it was turned upside down. These times that we are in are tough but there is a powerful tool of resilience that we can use in the face of such hardship – gratitude. The practice of gratitude has benefits that have been long documented which include the improvement of one’s physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

We can find reasons to be thankful, even in times of adversity. Gratitude for the health of our family members and friends. Appreciation for the dedication of our health care workers who work countless hours to care for those who are sick. Feeling thankful for a favourite television show, a good book, a warm cup of coffee, or a delicious dessert. In our daily lives there are always moments that we can recognize and reflect on, whether they be momentous or small. Perhaps we may even find that when the time finally comes that we can meet a friend for a glass of wine or have our family over for a shared meal that we will notice moments to be grateful for that we may have taken for granted before.

It is often during moments of challenge, stress and difficulties that we open our eyes to the blessings around us. As the saying goes, “hindsight is 20/20” and when we look back to what the year 2020 has taught us all, it will be lessons about a deeper appreciation for the simple things in life and a new perspective on what is most important. It is with these lessons that we look forward to collectively building a world that is kinder, brighter and more gratitude-filled. Remember that there is always a rainbow at the end of every storm.

Be well,

These are historic times that we are experiencing. This is a craft for the whole family (you can even get your pets involved) that is not only easy to make but will also serve as a keepsake reminder of this unique time period. This is a special way for you to commemorate that when we all had to stay apart, your family stood together. Please share with us your family’s handprint craft on social media! We would love to see them!

This funny and amusing podcast is good for children of all ages. It features people telling interesting, little-known stories from history with an emphasis on fun and humour. Although it’s not specifically a music podcast, each episode contains an often-silly song that’s sure to get stuck in your head. There’s even a quiz segment, so kids will learn something, too.

The flow state is the incredible feeling of being and doing exactly what you were meant to, in ease! This breathwork session is about moving around stagnant energies that build up in our bodies and chakras through repressed purpose, emotions, and life events, and giving permission to release the blockages with love, kindness, forgiveness, and gratitude. With this breathing style, we can activate our body’s natural immunity and health, and heal from the inside out. We’ll end with a soul-soothing sound bath with crystal alchemy bowls.

– Activate the body’s natural healing systems
– Process emotions that get stuck in the body
– Release stagnant energies like stress, fear, worry, and anxiety
– Improve body’s natural immunity, digestion, heart rate, and blood pressure
